Vincent Studio is now available for all Enterprise customers, bringing the power of custom workflow creation directly into your hands.

Studio is an Enterprise-exclusive feature that lets designated publishers within your organization create tailored, multi-step AI workflows designed around your firm’s unique processes and institutional knowledge. While Studio workflows can be made available organization-wide or to select user groups once published, only publishers have the ability to build and configure them, ensuring quality control.

Next, we’ll walk through what Studio is, how it works, and what becomes possible when you codify your firm’s expertise directly into AI workflows. We’ll explore the building blocks that make Studio work, examine real-world applications across practice areas, and explain why this represents a fundamental shift in how AI can support legal work.

Studio’s Architecture

Studio operates through a nested structure where each layer serves a specific purpose. Workflows contain tasks and tasks contain steps, with each level adding specificity. While all users see published workflows, only publishers have visibility into the tasks and steps within.

Workflows

A workflow represents an entire legal or business process your team follows. When users access Vincent, published Studio workflows appear on their home page as ready-to-use processes. Instead of figuring out how to prompt AI according to their needs, users simply select the appropriate workflow.

Workflows can be as straightforward as converting meeting notes into structured records, or as sophisticated as multi-stage contract analysis that mirrors your firm’s negotiation playbook. The key is that each workflow encapsulates a complete procedure that reflects how your organization works. The most valuable workflow for your organization likely hasn’t been conceived of yet, and that’s precisely what makes Studio so powerful. If you can dream it, you can build it.

Tasks

Tasks are the discrete activities that power each workflow. They represent individual units of work that lawyers perform, executing either automatically or presenting themselves as user-selectable options.

Studio supports two task types:

Immediate Tasks run automatically when the workflow is triggered. In a contract review workflow, a user might upload a contract and Vincent will immediately extract key dates, identify parties, and flag unusual provisions—all without user intervention. Immediate tasks handle the predictable, routine actions that should always happen in your process.

Suggested Tasks present options for users to choose from. After analyzing a contract, Vincent might offer a menu of suggested tasks for risk assessment, negotiation strategy, or compliance review. Users select which follow-up analysis they need for their specific situation. Suggested tasks preserve professional judgment while anticipating what AI assistance the user may need next.

Tasks can reference outputs from previous tasks, creating sequential logic and conditional branching. This allows workflows to become decision trees based on your firm’s expertise, where the results of one analysis inform the options and instructions for subsequent steps.

Steps

Within each task, steps are the granular instructions for Vincent’s analysis. Each step encapsulates one specific method of processing information, allowing different instructions to be chained together under a single objective.

This is where you encode the “how” of your firm’s methodology. A contract review task might include steps that first identify all indemnification clauses, then compare against your firm’s standard language, and finally flag deviations with risk assessments tailored to your client’s industry. Steps turn general AI capabilities into specialized expertise that matches your firm’s unique approach.

Studio in Action

The true power of Studio emerges when you see how different organizations use it to codify their distinctive processes. Here are a few example workflows that demonstrate Studio’s versatility across practice areas:

  • Intelligent Document Summarizer: Generate tailored summaries for specific audiences with control over tone, focus, and format.
  • Litigation Case Strategy Development: Analyze case files using your firm’s methodology and precedent from past successes.
  • Construction Lien Validity Analysis: Review Claims of Lien against statutory requirements with strategic timing recommendations.
  • Multi-Language Document Translator: Translate documents while preserving legal meaning for cross-border matters.
  • Meeting Notes Standardization: Convert recordings or notes into structured records with participants, decisions, and action items.
  • Pitch Development Assistant: Generate proposals using past successful submissions aligned with your firm’s positioning.

These examples represent just a fraction of what’s possible. The workflows your organization needs are the ones only you can envision. You know what made your firm successful, the methodologies that distinguish your practice, and the institutional knowledge that supports your strategy. We can’t know the intricacies of what makes your firm unique, but you do. The perfect workflow for your practice already exists in your teams’ expertise—Studio simply gives you the tools to capture it.

Illustrative Examples

To understand Studio’s full potential, we’ll examine how three different workflows operate in detail, each demonstrating different aspects of Studio’s capabilities.

Due Diligence Report Generation

Consider M&A due diligence, where your firm has already developed specific frameworks for evaluating transactions. You’ve refined your approach over dozens of deals, creating internal templates that prioritize risks differently based on transaction type, industry, and deal structure.

With Studio, you can build a workflow that embeds this expertise directly into Vincent. Upload your due diligence report template as a workflow asset. Configure the workflow to accept contingency analyses and other diligence materials. Design tasks that populate your template according to your risk assessment methodology.

In the resulting workflow, users upload a contingency analysis, provide the parties’ names, and Vincent generates a comprehensive due diligence report that follows your firm’s exact structure and applies your specific risk evaluation framework. Every report maintains consistency with your established approach while automatically customizing content for each transaction.

Contract Review with Embedded Playbooks

Vincent comes with a Review a Contract workflow out-of-the-box, but your transactional practice has likely already developed detailed negotiation playbooks that specify preferred positions on indemnification, liability caps, termination provisions, and dozens of other contract terms. These playbooks represent the accumulated wisdom earned from years of negotiations, reflecting what you’ve learned works for your clients.

Studio allows you to encode these playbooks directly into custom contract review workflows. Upload your playbook as a workflow asset. Configure Vincent to identify contract provisions, compare them against your standards, and flag deviations. Build suggested tasks that offer different levels of analysis depending on deal size and complexity.

When attorneys use this workflow, Vincent analyzes contracts through the lens of your firm’s negotiation positions. It identifies where the other side’s language deviates from your preferences, assesses the materiality of each deviation, and suggests specific revision language that more closely aligns with your playbook. The analysis reflects your firm’s strategic approach instead of generic contract review principles.

Simplified Client Communication

Complex legal developments require client communication that balances accuracy with accessibility. Your firm has developed a distinctive voice for client communications that is professional but approachable, thorough but concise, and legally precise but jargon-free.

With Studio, you can create workflows that turn technical legal content into client-ready communications that maintain your firm’s standards. Configure the workflow to accept either text or documents. Set up a clarification question where Vincent asks users whether they need email or memo format. Build an immediate task that rewrites content for client accessibility while preserving legal accuracy. Add suggested tasks that offer next steps, like extracting action items for the client or creating a short executive summary.

The workflow ensures every time your lawyers communicate with clients, your firm’s voice and standards are reflected. Associates can draft client updates with the confidence they will match partner-level quality communications. This consistency strengthens your client relationships while reducing the time senior attorneys spend editing.

The Studio Shift

For decades, technology has asked lawyers to adapt their work to fit software constraints. Studio inverts this relationship. Instead of adapting your work to fit AI’s capabilities, you configure AI to work the way you already do.

What makes your firm successful is your tried and true approach. Don’t abandon that approach for the sake of AI adoption. Use Studio to preserve and scale it. With Studio, practice group leaders can ensure consistency across all matters, innovation teams can experiment with new approaches without disrupting existing processes, and the firm’s institutional knowledge becomes accessible to everyone.

Studio also addresses quality control, a fundamental challenge in AI adoption. When every attorney prompts AI individually with no guardrails, quality varies based on prompting skill, subject matter knowledge, and available time. When your publishers create workflows in Studio, quality becomes consistent. The workflow embeds the firm’s standards, applies the firm’s methodology, and always produces output that meets the firm’s requirements. Individual attorneys don’t need to master AI prompting, they just need to continue being the great lawyers they already are—and select the right workflow.

Getting Started with Studio

Vincent Studio is available now to Enterprise customers. Speak with your Customer Success Manager to learn more about accessing Studio. Once enabled, assigned publishers within your organization can access Studio and begin creating workflows immediately.

The workflow creation process uses a guided wizard that requires no coding. Simply define what you want the workflow to do, specify how users will begin, configure the tasks and steps that drive the analysis, and publish to your chosen audience. Start with private workflows for testing, expand to small groups for refinement, then deploy organization-wide once you’ve confirmed the workflow performs as intended.

Begin with straightforward workflows that address clear, repetitive needs. Meeting documentation, client communication, or document summarization workflows often provide quick wins while helping publishers acclimate to Studio’s capabilities. Then, move to more sophisticated workflows that embed deeper institutional knowledge and more complex decision trees. If you need assistance at any point, Clio’s customer success team is available to help you build better workflows.

With Studio, the possibilities are as varied as the practice of law itself. Which of your processes would benefit from codification? What institutional knowledge could be scaled? What makes your firm’s approach unique? The answers to these questions point toward the workflows that will deliver the most value for your organization.

Vincent Studio is AI that adapts to your work, rather than requiring you to adapt to AI. Your expertise and your methodology is now accessible to your entire organization through workflows designed by you, powered by Vincent.
